Qualifications

• You must be 21 or older.
• You must reside in Iowa.
• You must have a high school diploma or GED.
• You must have a current/valid driver’s license.
• You must meet minimum insurance requirements.
• You must have access to a computer/internet to complete documentation requirements.
• You must successfully complete all steps of the extensive screening, interview, and matching process before an individual can begin receiving support in your home.
• You must have flexibility and creativity.
• Finally, you’ll need a passion for making a difference in the world.

Responsibilities

• Host and support an adult with disabilities in your home.
• Assist with daily activities: shopping, budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene.
• Help mentee integrate into the community and set goals.
• Advocate and mentor to help them live their best life.
• Provide guidance, support, and care aligned with person-centered goals.
