Job summary

Granger's in Houston's Museum District is seeking energetic hosts to lead the opening team, ensuring a welcoming guest experience in an upscale-casual environment. You will manage opening/closing tasks, greet guests, and support service with professionalism and care.

Ideal candidates have prior hosting exposure, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided, with growth opportunities as the venue opens and expands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year hosting experience - Preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Available to work at least 3 shifts a week
• Experience using POS (Point of Sales) System, and Resy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays
• Possess a professional demeanor, maintaining composure and grace under pressure.
• Must adhere to dress code and grooming standards
• Must have current unexpired food handler and TABC seller certifications
• Must have reliable transportation

• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean host environment
• Ensure all necessary items are stocked, including menus, wine lists, complimentary bubbles, silverware and glassware
• Uphold high standards of professionalism, grooming, and uniform appearance at all times

Located in the heart of Houston’s museum district, Granger's is an upscale-casual neighborhood restaurant and bar that specializes in serving classic American cuisine alongside signature cocktails and carefully selected wines in a dining room filled with old-world charm and timeless décor.

Granger’s strives to create a comfortable atmosphere where our guests can focus on relaxing with friends and family, knowing that their every need will be thoughtfully taken care of. Everything on the menu is prepared from scratch daily and is elegantly presented.

Paying homage to both the family name and the incredibly diverse neighborhood in which owners Ryan and Josephine Granger have successfully operated two fast-casual concepts, Bodegas Tacos Shop and Fia’s Pizzeria, for the last 18 years, Granger’s aims to continue serving this historic area of Houston for years to come.
