Job summary

The Greenleigh in Houston (opening Fall 2026) seeks energetic Restaurant Servers to deliver warm, professional hospitality and create memorable dining experiences. You will be the primary contact for guests, collaborating with culinary, bar, and support teams to ensure seamless service.

Responsibilities include taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, inviting dining environment while upholding high standards.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their dining experience, working closely with culinary, bar, and support teams to ensure seamless service, exceed guest expectations, and uphold The Greenleigh's standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage selections with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, responding promptly to requests and resolving concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, ingredients, wine, beer, cocktails, and other beverages to make informed recommendations.
• Prepare and process guest checks accurately while handling cash, credit card, and other payment transactions according to company procedures.
• Assist with table maintenance by clearing and resetting tables, refilling beverages, and ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
• Collaborate with food runners, bartenders, hosts, and culinary team members to ensure efficient and exceptional service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and health regulations.
• Support opening, closing, and side work duties to maintain restaurant readiness and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately process guest payments.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift and carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain certification) required; TABC Certification (or the ability to obtain certification) preferred.
