Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Food and Beverage Host/Supervisor for The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, Virginia. This role leads an on-site team to ensure exceptional service, cost controls, and high standards across food and beverage operations.

The ideal candidate has prior luxury hotel or upscale resort experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work early shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working at a Restaurant in a luxury hotel or full-service resort.
• Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
• Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant, positive personality.
• Well organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly meetings, relay information about upcoming events to staff under supervision.
• Provide information about capabilities and programs to other departments and clients.
• Respond to needs and requests of guests and potential guests.
• Ensure standards of food, beverage and service quality meet first-class expectations.
• Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
• Utilize inventory, receiving and product utilization systems.
• Lead by following productivity standards for food & beverage staff.
• Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage loyalty among employees.
• Assist with hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel.
• Assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed.
• Host stand coverage.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as Food and Beverage Host/ Supervisor. This individual is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example, don’t settle for the normal, and continuously encourage and engage their team members. They will assist in providing the leadership required to achieve the fiduciary and quality goals for the Food and Beverage operation. They will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of the Food and Beverage operation, while improving on the current model and be responsible for managing in a manner consistent with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of the Benchmark. AM shift: 6am to 3pm ( closing time could vary based on business and event needs) Must have have weekend and holiday availability.

Your Role:

• Ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first‑class operation.
• Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
• Utilize the systems for inventory, receiving and product utilization (product cost).
• Lead by following the standards of productivity for food & beverage personnel.
• Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees.
• Assist with hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel.
• Assist in the other Food and Beverage outlets in whatever capacity needed.
• Host stand coverage

Compensation:

$15.00 - $18.00
