Job summary

Oakmont in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage seating, and support the service team. You will help maintain a smooth dining flow, assist with the iPad waitlist system, and ensure guests feel valued.

We look for energetic, friendly individuals with strong communication skills who can work in a fast-paced setting. 16+ years old, Food Handlers certification preferred; competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred.
• Must maintain a valid Food Handlers’ certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and welcoming personality.
• Able to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow efficiently.
• Must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest warmly upon arrival and thank them as they leave
• Seat guests efficiently and manage the waitlist iPad system
• Keep waitlists organized and manage guest expectations with care and positivity
• Answer phones and direct guest inquiries appropriately
• Communicate guest requests clearly to servers and team members
• Assist teammates with food delivery and bussing tables when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment
