Job summary

Castaway in Burbank, CA is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage seating, and coordinate with servers to ensure a superb dining experience. You will answer reservations, handle wait times, and maintain a clean front-of-house area.

The ideal candidate is flexible, energetic, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior hospitality or customer-facing experience is preferred; training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort to tables.
• Manage seating chart and balance guest preferences.
• Provide accurate wait times and assist during wait.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, manage guest list.
• Coordinate with servers and other staff for smooth service.
• Perform other tasks as needed, including events.
