Job Summary:

Performs host duties in support of a restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

• Welcoming guest in a warm and friendly manner to the venue.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take reservations.
• Providing accurate wait times and monitoring waiting list.
• Determines the number in their party.
• Observant to guest needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service.
• Seats guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing a clean, current menu in front of them.
• Guides guests through the dining room and provides any needed assistance.
• Assists Food Servers, if necessary.
• Ensures place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
• Checks menus to ensure they are current, clean, and plentiful.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Inform guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
• Must be able to control the front door, understanding the capacity and seating diagrams.
• Follows all safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions immediately to a supervisor.
• Ensures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
• Fosters a team environment by working collaboratively with co-workers.
• Displays initiative and ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
