Emmaline’s Cocktails & Provisions at DoubleTree by Hilton Greenville Airport is hiring Restaurant Hosts/Hostesses to welcome guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating. You’ll be the first and last contact, ensuring a warm, polished service and a smooth dining room flow.

The role emphasizes hospitality, organization, and teamwork with servers, kitchen, and hotel staff; evening and weekend shifts are required. Prior guest-service experience is preferred.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Host / Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, answering inquiries, and supporting the overall flow of restaurant operations. This position works closely with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and hotel associates to ensure guests receive attentive, efficient, and professional service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet every guest promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.

Create a positive first impression by maintaining a polished appearance and providing genuine hospitality.

Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments to maintain an efficient dining room flow.

Escort guests to their tables and provide menus while communicating any relevant information about the dining experience.

Coordinate with servers and management to balance seating assignments and support timely service.

Answer incoming phone calls, respond to guest questions, and assist with reservation inquiries.

Coordinate to-go orders, including communicating with the kitchen and ensuring orders are handled accurately and efficiently.

Assist with room service requests by coordinating with the appropriate restaurant and hotel team members.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand, entrance, and waiting area.

Monitor the dining room and communicate guest needs, special requests, and concerns to the appropriate team members.

Respond to guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.

Communicate wait times and seating availability accurately while keeping guests informed.

Assist with opening and closing duties, including preparing the host station and maintaining an orderly front-of-house area.

Work collaboratively with restaurant and hotel associates to deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

Follow all company policies, service standards, safety procedures, and grooming requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by restaurant management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or guest relations experience preferred.

A positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional appearance and the ability to interact comfortably with guests and associates.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed in a busy environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with other departments.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn reservation, point-of-sale, and other hospitality systems.

Dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on restaurant operations.
