Job summary

Fat Ox in Scottsdale is seeking a friendly, experienced host/hostess to create the inviting Fat Ox experience. You will greet guests at the door, identify regulars and VIPs, manage reservations and walk-ins on OpenTable, and guide the seating flow to optimize guest experience.

You will lead the host team on your shifts, seat guests according to preferences, update dining room status, and thank guests as they depart, inviting them back.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience as a host/hostess.
• Ability to identify regulars and VIPs and anticipate guest needs.
• Experience with reservations platforms is a plus (OpenTable preferred).

• Take and manage reservations and walk-ins on OpenTable GuestCenter.
• Be the go-to person for reservations and seating questions per shift.

• Help manage dining room by updating guest positions in the experience.
• Thank guests on departure and invite them back.

We're looking for a friendly, experienced hosts or hostess who want to be an integral part of providing the Fat Ox experience by:

• Greeting guests at the door and making everyone feel welcome
• Identifying our regulars and VIPs, knowing their preferences and accommodating their needs
• Taking and managing reservations and walk-in guests on OpenTable GuestCenter (if you have experience with this software, that's a plus)
• Being the "go to" person regarding guest reservations and seating questions per shift
• Showing leadership within the host team
• Seating guests with their preferences and the flow of the restaurant in mind
• Helping manage the dining room by updating where guests are in their dining experience
• Thanking guests when they leave and inviting them back.

The host team holds the key to our guests' experience, and you will lead them well on your shifts. If you're a highly motivated, people person who excels in a fast-paced, high energy environment, have at least two years as a host or hostess, and want to grow in a leadership role, we want to meet you.
