Job summary

Major Food Group is hiring a Host for ZZ's Club in Miami, FL. The role requires greeting guests, managing the waitlist, and promoting an exceptional dining experience in a high-volume, upscale setting.

Applicants should have customer service experience and be able to stand for 8 hours, with flexible full-time hours including nights and weekends. Proficiency with POS systems, OpenTable, Word, and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required.
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Full-time flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Proficient with basic computer skills including POS systems, OpenTable, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of specials.
• Maintains and monitors seating plan and wait times.
• Answers phone and questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Assists with to-go orders and overall guest experience.
• Keeps host area organized and stocked.

Major Food Groupis hiring a Host to join our team at ZZ's Club.

A private membership club by Major Food Group that originated in Miami, ZZ's Club is an exclusive, modern social space designed for those individuals who appreciate the highest caliber of culinary, hospitality and entertainment. We are a home away from home for our members, a distinguished clientele that expects precise execution and exquisite attention to detail.

We are looking for someone with experience, who wants to work hard and be part of something truly special.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list.
• Runs the floor plan board.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
• Fills to-go orders, if applicable.
• Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
• Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
• Performs other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
• Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
• Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, OpenTable, Word and Excel.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
