Job summary

Oak & Stone in McKinney, Texas is seeking a friendly Host to be the first point of contact for guests. You will greet guests, present menus, manage the waiting list, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment.

As a Host, youfll coordinate seating, assist with side work, and ensure guests have a positive first impression while adhering to company policies and standards. Uniforms should be neat and professional, and teamwork with servers and management is essential to keep service

• Greet guests, present menus, and inform them of specials.
• Treat all guests to ensure their complete satisfaction and strive to exceed expectations.
• Take names on a waiting list and quote wait times when tables aren immediately available.
• Run the floor plan board and observe tables for cleanliness and occupancy.
• Clean and wipe down tables, organize and stock menus in the host area.
• Fulfill side work such as replacing bottles, cleaning windows, and sweeping floors.
• Interact with guests as they arrive and depart to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintain restrooms, refill paper towels and hand soap.
• Organize merchandise and report to work in a neat uniform with good hygiene.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and participate in required meetings.

The Host is the first Team Member that our guests will see! This Team Member will be responsible for:

Essential Functions

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guest, and informs them of any specials.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests' expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list and quotes wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available.
• Runs the floor plan board.
• Observes tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Cleans and wipes down tables.
• Cleans, organizes, and stocks menus in the host area.
• Fulfills various side work projects including but not limited to replacing bottles of ketchup, cleaning windows, and sweeping floors.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintains restrooms throughout the shift (refill paper towels and hand soap).
• Organize merchandise.
• Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
• Maintains adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as directed by management.
• Reports to required meetings.
