Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts' Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and manage seating in a busy, upscale setting. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and support service flow according to Omni standards.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of experience in a host or guest-facing role, with fine dining experience preferred, and strong communication. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected; POS/OpenTable experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One (1) year minimum experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role.
• Fine dining or steakhouse experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment.
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, seat guests, and provide menus.
• Manage reservations and guest inquiries via phone and reservation systems.
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure proper seating flow and coordination with service staff.
• Assist managers with opening/closing and operational readiness of dining areas.
• Support guest experience and handle peak period flow with order and courtesy.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, specials, VIPs, and hotel activities.

JOBPURPOSE:

The Host is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first and last impression for guests at Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar, a vibrant dining destination that brings Sunshine State flavors together with Caribbean flair and cultural influences. This role ensures guests are greeted, seated, and assisted in a timely and courteous manner while supporting the overall flow of Food & Beverage operations and delivering exceptional service in accordance with Omni standards.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needs
• Greets guests promptly and courteously upon arrival,maintaininga polished and professional demeanor
• Manages reservations and guest inquiries via phone and reservation systems using sound judgment andaccuratetiming
• Monitors dining room activity to ensureappropriate seatingflow, guest comfort, and service coordination
• Seats guests byidentifyingclean, available tables and providing menusin accordance withservice standards
• Assistsmanagers with opening, closing, and operational readiness of dining areas
• Anticipates guest needs and responds appropriately to enhance the guest experience
• Manages guest flow during peak periods andmaintainsorder at the restaurant entrance
• Assistsservice staff as needed to support efficient operations
• Maintains familiarity with menus, daily specials, VIP guests, function sheets, and hotel activities
• Thanks guests upon departure and invites them to return, ensuring a positive closing interaction
• Duties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.
• Must be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assigned
