Job description

Host / Hostess – Guest Experience

We are seeking a friendly and energetic host/hostess to create a welcoming first impression for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Report to work in a proper and clean uniform.
• Use greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness standards and restock the reception area and restrooms.
• Accurately process all guest checks with no cash overages or shortages.
• Anticipate, identify, and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
• Assist pantry maintenance and pre‑rush organization.
• Support servers and bus persons to execute service standards.
• Use proper cash handling procedures for cash and non‑cash transactions, counting change, and maintaining cash accountability.
• Ensure the cash register area is stocked with all needed items.
• Communicate with Manager on Duty and co‑workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment or safety issues.
• Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce risk of foodborne illness.
• Have sufficient knowledge of the menu to execute suggestive selling techniques with all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of bakery cases and restock them.
• Use knowledge of bakery products to perform suggestive selling techniques and sampling programs with guests.
• Bag or box any products according to standards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Compensation

$16.90 per hour.
