Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Hospital/In-patient team in Melrose, MA. This 24-hour-per-week, second-shift role involves blood collection, patient service, data entry, and occasional travel to other sites.

The ideal candidate will hold a phlebotomy certification or completed training, or have 1.5+ years of phlebotomy experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1.5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Willingness to travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
