Job summary

Gunderson Dettmer has an opening for a Hospitality/Workplace Experience Assistant in our San Francisco office. The role supports day-to-day office operations to maintain a professional and welcoming workplace for attorneys, business professionals, clients and visitors.

You will conduct walk-throughs, set up conference rooms, coordinate catering, stock kitchens, and assist with events and admin tasks, ensuring smooth guest and employee experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year of experience in hospitality, workplace experience, events, or administrative role.
• Strong customer service mindset and professional presence.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Inspect conference rooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure readiness.
• Set up and reset conference rooms and coordinate catering and supplies.
• Place catering and office supply orders as needed.
• Stock and maintain kitchens, pantries, and conference rooms.
• Assist with workspace readiness for new hires and moves.
• Provide admin support to the Office Coordinator and schedules.
• Assist with expense reimbursements via Emburse (ChromeRiver).
• Coordinate vendor services and maintain records related to office operations.
• Assist with planning and executing internal and client-facing events.
