Qualifications

• Teaching or training experience in a postsecondary, adult education, or workforce development environment.
• Experience using instructional technology and learning management systems.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in hotel, restaurant, tourism, and hospitality management
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with course and program outcomes
• Provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and real-world examples from the hospitality and tourism industry
• Teach topics such as front-office operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, restaurant management, customer service, tourism principles, event planning, and hospitality marketing
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records
• Advise and support students regarding academic progress, career options, internships, and employment opportunities
• Incorporate technology, industry standards, workplace safety, diversity, and professionalism into instruction
• Maintain current knowledge of hospitality and tourism trends through professional development and industry engagement
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, advisory committees, and industry partners
• Follow institutional policies, procedures, and applicable accreditation or regulatory requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
