Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for the Omaha Marriott Downtown in Omaha, NE. You will supervise housekeeping staff, inspect rooms and public areas, and ensure cleanliness meets luxury standards.

The role requires strong organization, leadership, and English communication to coordinate with departments and guests. Work in a fast-paced downtown property with extensive event spaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of supervisory experience or one year of relevant housekeeping and clerical experience.
• High School education preferred.
• Must be efficient with computer programs.
• Must have both written and verbal skills in English to communicate with other departments and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and corridors for cleanliness and quality, updating room status as needed.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed on time and up to standard.
• Provide organization, guidance, and communication while reinforcing the hotel's high standards.
• Ensure housekeeping carts and linen closets are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Inspect VIP rooms and randomly check rooms for quality compliance, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Handle special guest requests and assist with deliveries, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain proper staffing levels and oversee the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
• Report any suspicious activity or hazardous conditions to the Loss Prevention Department and respond to guest inquiries.
