Job summary

Sun Hill Properties, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Storeroom Manager to lead inventory control, receiving, storeroom operations, and procurement for our hotel portfolio, collaborating with hotel operations, culinary, finance, engineering, and vendors to ensure timely, cost-efficient procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3–5 years purchasing/procurement in hospitality or multi‑unit ops preferred.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to analyze purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proven leadership and staff development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, warehouse, and storeroom operations; ensure accurate receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of products.
• Verify deliveries against POs; enforce FIFO; maintain organized storage and appropriate stock levels.
• Conduct market price analyses, price benchmarking, competitive bid analyses, and vendor pricing audits.
• Supervise inventories on monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles; support audits and reconciliation.
• Ensure procurement procedures comply with company standards and controls; document vendor files and pricing databases.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership, culinary, finance, engineering, housekeeping, and other departments to support purchasing needs.
• Monitor expenditures; review invoices; assist budgeting and analyze purchasing trends to improve efficiency.
• Train storeroom staff; assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
