Job summary

Perseid Restaurant, located inside Hotel Saint Augustine in Montrose, Houston, seeks an enthusiastic Steward to join the team. You will support Food & Beverage and Culinary operations and help maintain clean, efficient dining service.

You will bus tables, wash dishware, stock stations, and assist with deliveries. Six months of hospitality experience and ability to work afternoons/evenings are preferred. Hyatt teams collaborate to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry.

Responsibilities

• Bus dining room and patio; keep tables clear of dishes and food remnants.
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Sweep and scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Assist in unloading deliveries (food and supplies).
• Maintain open lines of communication to ensure restaurant needs are met.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in good, safe condition.
