Job summary

Porter Hospitality in Seattle is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily café operations, elevate guest experiences, and lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams with concierge-style service for tenants and guests.

You will train staff, manage opening and closing, cash handling, safety standards, and support events, tenant engagement, and building-wide initiatives while upholding Porter’s hospitality standards and a guest-first culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality, lounge, cafe, or restaurant settings.
• Experience leading front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the café floor, ensuring smooth guest interactions and flow.
• Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams and support training.
• Serve as point of contact for coffee training.
• Maintain clean, inviting cafe environment and high hospitality standards.
• Assist with food and beverage service and quality control.
• Monitor security, guest access, and safety protocols.
• Build relationships with tenants, guests and vendors.
• Oversee inventory, ordering and storage, and back-of-house organization.
• Ensure adherence to Porter’s service standards and processes.
• Manage opening/closing, cash handling, sanitation, and equipment care.
• Lead by example and promote accountability, development, and guest-first culture.
• Respond to guest feedback promptly to improve experience.
• Collaborate with property management for tenant engagement and events.
• Ensure health and sanitation regulations are followed.
