University Housing is looking for a motivated, caring individual to join our team working daytime hours in a student residential community. We are looking for a
Hospitality Service Leader to supervise a team of up to seven custodians responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of residential floors and public areas according to established standards. In this role, you will help ensure students have a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
As a
Hospitality Service Leader, you will:
- Clean areas such as bathrooms, public lounges, laundry rooms, stairwells, dining room, tile floors and carpeting
- Fill in for staff absences
- Supervise full-time regular and student employees in cleaning residence hall facilities
- Assisting in custodial training
- Manage supply distribution and inventory control
- Coordinate the transition from academic year schedules to summer conference schedules smoothly
May be required to be on-call during evening and weekend hours.

- High school plus two years of custodial experience; equivalency considered
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to issue written instructions, prepare written reports and issue clear verbal instructions
- Able to lead and work effectively with others necessary
- Must have the ability to understand cleaning chemicals and their application and dilution ratios
- Must have ability to operate all types of custodial equipment
- Must be available via cell phone during working hours.
- Must have ability to lift 35lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
Posted Salary
$18.50/hr minimum
