Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the sales and events team in Omaha. You will learn from a high-energy group, handle inquiries, tour facilities, prepare proposals, and coordinate event logistics to ensure excellent guest experiences.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and MS Office proficiency, with opportunities to travel for outside sales activities and to advance within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College degree in hospitality, business, event planning, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent hotel sales or event planning experience may be considered.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Marriott systems and event management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and distribute inbound phone calls to the sales and events office and communicate with clients via phone, in person, or email.
• Conduct hotel site tours and represent the property at industry events to generate business.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales documents accurately and timely.
• Coordinate event details and logistics with clients and internal departments.
• Create and manage event orders, reports, and diagrams, ensuring deadlines are met.
