Holiday Inn Boston Cambridge Area in Somerville, MA is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to help keep our guest rooms and public areas functioning smoothly. You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and document repairs to ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building maintenance or engineering roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment efficiently.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
