Thrive Restaurant Group in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a General Utility team member to keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organized while assisting in food preparation. You will be cross-trained across kitchen departments and contribute to a fast-paced, friendly service environment.

We value a positive attitude and willingness to learn; you may transport items up to 50 pounds and work indoors most of the time, with occasional outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• Desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• A positive attitude.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Works indoors most of the time (90%), with some outdoor tasks.
• Able to respond in emergencies to avoid danger.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine (50%).
• Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand or machine (15%).
• Completes all assigned prep work (10%).
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%).
• Washes work area tables, walls, equipment and floors (5%).
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down the dish machine (5%).
