Job summary

LBA Hospitality is seeking a Utility Worker/Dishwasher to support the food-and-beverage team at Westin San Antonio North. The role involves setting up the dishwashing area, washing and organizing wares, and adhering to sanitation standards to deliver guest satisfaction.

On-site position with varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Experience in hospitality is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is favored, with food-handler certification encouraged upon hire.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel/restaurant/healthcare or care-facility environments preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food-handler certification preferred at hire and may be required after employment.
• Knowledge of safe dishwashing procedures, cleaning chemicals, sanitation requirements, and proper equipment use.
• Dependable, trustworthy, service-focused, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Set up dishwashing station, including machine, presoak areas, and chemical supplies.
• Wash, sanitize, organize, and store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and utensils.
• Monitor chemical levels and water temperatures per sanitation requirements.
• Operate and clean dishwashing equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or repairs promptly.
• Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces (hoods, filters, steam tables, tables, carts, ovens, grills).
• Maintain clean and organized kitchens, workstations, storage areas.
• Follow productivity, sanitation, food-safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with meeting-room setup, guest requests, or other hotel support duties.
• Perform other related duties within training and capabilities.
