Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a dedicated Utility to support kitchen sanitation and guest service across our properties. You will operate dishwashing equipment, clean kitchenware, assist with basic food prep, and help maintain safe, organized workspaces in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate communicates in basic English, can lift and move items, and is willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic English.
• Ability to count and follow directions.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual tasks in hot, humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Pre-wash items, load/unload machines, and inspect cleanliness of wares.
• Hand-wash kitchen equipment and sanitize surfaces.
• Restock cleaned wares and keep workstations organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and service areas.
• Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Clean and maintain garbage compactor and trash areas.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines (OSHA).
• Support basic food prep and banquet setup as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
• Report on maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• All utilities are required to properly store Ecolab solutions and cleaning supplies in their designated storage areas upon delivery.
