Job summary

Original Ventures seeks a flexible-hours Design Consultant to lead interior design for spa, hospitality, and commercial spaces from concept to completion in Scottsdale, AZ. You’ll select materials, estimate quantities, source products, and coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates combine a strong design eye with practical project-management, experience in luxury hospitality, and the ability to communicate design intent clearly to ownership

Qualifications

• Proven interior design experience in hospitality, spas, hotels or luxury projects.
• Strong portfolio of cohesive spaces beyond renderings.
• Ability to balance design with cost, lead times, and procurement.
• Experience measuring spaces and estimating material quantities.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and coordinate with architects.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design direction and material palette for spa and hospitality projects.
• Specify flooring, finishes, FF&E and related components.
• Create finish schedules and design packages usable by contractors.
• Measure spaces and calculate material quantities for purchasing.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors to ensure constructible designs.
• Conduct site visits to verify design intent during construction.
• Assist with budgeting and price negotiations for finishes.
