Job summary

American Society of Interior Designers is seeking a design-driven interior designer to join an established in-house hospitality studio. You will influence guest experience and brand direction across North America, collaborating with designers, architects, operators, and hospitality leaders on luxury hotel renovations.

Ideal candidates will have a strong FF&E eye, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–8 years interior design experience, preferably in hospitality or luxury environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
  • Strong FF&E expertise with refined design aesthetic and guest-focused experiences.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office; familiar with elevations, floor plans, specs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design efforts for hotel renovation projects including guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Develop design concepts, finish palettes, FF&E selections, and construction docs.
  • Collaborate with senior designers, consultants, PMs, purchasing, and operations teams.
  • Review submittals and construction docs to ensure design quality and consistency.
  • Conduct site visits, field surveys, and meetings in a collaborative studio.

Join an established in-house hospitality design studio that is playing a key role in the evolution of a luxury hotel portfolio across North America. This opportunity offers exposure to high-profile renovation projects, significant influence on guest experience and brand direction, and the chance to collaborate with a talented team of designers, architects, operators, and hospitality leaders. Ideal candidates are design-driven professionals with a strong FF&E eye, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for creating elevated hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead interior design efforts for hotel renovation projects, including guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, bars, meeting spaces, spas, retail environments, and other guest-focused areas.
  • Develop design concepts, finish palettes, FF&E selections, presentations, renderings, specifications, and construction documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Partner with senior designers, consultants, project managers, purchasing teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review shop drawings, finish submittals, FF&E packages, and construction-related documentation to maintain design quality and consistency.
  • Conduct site visits, field surveys, installations, punch walks, and project meetings while contributing to a highly collaborative design studio environment.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-8 years of interior design experience, preferably within hospitality, luxury commercial, hotel, or high-end multifamily environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Strong FF&E expertise with a refined design aesthetic and the ability to create thoughtful, guest-centered hospitality experiences.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and design documentation production; experience with elevations, floor plans, and specifications preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
