Job summary

ExplorUS in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Design Coordinator to support the Interior Design Manager across a growing hospitality portfolio. You will coordinate project schedules, maintain design documentation, and ensure adherence to brand standards and operational requirements while traveling to multiple properties as needed.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience in hospitality design is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Design, Spatial Design, Fine Arts or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in interior design, hospitality design, architecture, procurement or project coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Houzz Pro, Canva or project-management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Interior Design Director with development and execution of interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate design deliverables, project schedules, deadlines, and action items across multiple properties.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, specifications, finish schedules, furniture selections, materials samples, and other design documentation.
• Assist with preparation and distribution of design presentations, project updates, finish packages, and approval materials.
• Track design decisions, approvals, revisions, and outstanding items to ensure progress.
• Review design documents for coordination, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, purchasing teams, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain logs.
