Job summary

Main Street Hospitality in Stockbridge, MA is seeking a friendly Host to create a warm first impression and guide guests to seating. This part-time, hourly role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to handle busy periods with poise.

You will manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate with servers to ensure smooth dining room flow while maintaining clean, welcoming entry areas. Experience is preferred but not required. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferred.
• Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waitlists accurately using the reservation system.
• Escort guests to tables while engaging in friendly and professional conversation.
• Communicate seating flow clearly with service and kitchen teams.
• Monitor table status and coordinate with servers to optimize guest flow.
• Provide accurate information regarding menus, specials, and dining policies.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and service recovery with professionalism and care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.
• Assist with light support duties to ensure smooth dining room operations.
• Uphold Main Street Hospitality’s high service standards at all times.
• Perform additional relevant tasks as requested by management.
