Job summary

Founding Farmers is seeking a Host/Coordinator to deliver attentive service from the moment guests arrive. You will manage reservations via OpenTable, greet guests, and coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth seating and guest experience.

The role emphasizes strong communication, hospitality, and teamwork in a busy Washington, DC setting. Hourly pay is $18.40 with benefits packages available after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Full-service restaurant experience is helpful, but not required.
• Must be 18 years old due to service of alcohol.
• Able to create a hospitable environment for guests and staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant reservations and wait lists with OpenTable.
• Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guest inquiries.
• Greet and seat guests at their table with exceptional hospitality.
• Assist guests in making reservations and responding to inquiries timely.
• Support service staff by clearing dishes and assisting with dining setup for large parties.
• Keep dining areas tidy and help with general housekeeping tasks.
