Rusty Rail Brewing Company is seeking a friendly, energetic Host to join our team. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, the Host helps create an exceptional dining experience by greeting guests, managing seating, and coordinating with servers.

The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service. Weekday evenings and weekend availability are helpful for our busy dining times.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and provide a positive first impression.
• Manage guest seating while maintaining efficient flow of service.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with questions regarding reservations, wait times, hours of operation, and general inquiries.
• Take, confirm, and manage reservations accurately.
• Maintain and update waitlists while communicating estimated wait times to guests.
• Coordinate seating accommodations and communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Ensure the host stand, entrance, and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Assist in delivering an exceptional guest experience by addressing concerns professionally and escalating issues when needed.
• Support restaurant operations and team members as needed to ensure smooth daily service.
