Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Minnesota is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, greet them at arrival, escort to tables, and set expectations for their dining experience.

You will manage reservations with OpenTable, maintain a clean host stand, support the dining room by bussing, and collaborate with FOH teams to ensure a smooth guest journey. Training is provided to help you grow into a hospitality expert.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
• Ability to work well with team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by bussing tables to maintain flow and cleanliness.
