Job summary

The Bartolotta Restaurants is seeking a friendly and professional Host to welcome guests, manage the dining room flow, and set a positive tone for an outstanding guest experience in Milwaukee, WI. You’ll handle the waitlist, reservations, and guest questions with a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills focused on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
• Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guests; determine the purpose of each visit and direct or escort them to the right location.
• Manage the waitlist during high volume periods while providing accurate wait-time quotes.
• Take reservations into the reservation book with clear and accurate guest information.
• Promptly answer phones and route calls to the proper custodian.
• Be knowledgeable about the menu to field questions from guests and vendors.
• Handle gift certificate transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Present a professional demeanor in attire, language, and attitude.
• Perform side work before, during, and after shifts as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area/station.
• Assist teammates and perform other duties as assigned.
