Job summary

Ramen-san in Chicago’s River North, Fulton Market and Streeterville neighborhoods is hiring for the HOST/CARRYOUT team. The role greets guests warmly, seats them, answers phones, takes reservations, and handles carryout orders with accuracy.

You’ll work flexible hours, including weekends, and join a caring, creative team with strong benefits and opportunities to grow. This is an on-site frontline position focused on guest satisfaction and efficient service in a lively noodle den.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Good communication in English (written and spoken).
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and seat guests in the restaurant.
• Answer telephones, take orders, messages and reservations.
• Available to work a variety of hours, including weekends.
• Safely move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats.
• Proficient with reservation, telephone, paging and voicemail systems.
• Record and balance all sales/receipts per restaurant policies.
• Follow steps of service and respond to guest needs with courtesy.
• Maintain restrooms and assist with clearing and resetting tables.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Other duties as needed by the team.
