Job summary

AC Hotel Cleveland Circle, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an experienced and friendly Bartender to join our team. You will be the face of our restaurant, providing memorable experiences for our guests.

The role requires quick hands, a positive attitude, and a passion for talking with guests. Required: at least 1 year of bartending experience, ability to operate a POS system, and TIPS certification or state equivalent within 30 days.

Qualifications

One year of bartending experience.
TIPS certification or state equivalent within 30 days.
Ability to operate point-of-sale system.
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and/or service.
Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult guests.
Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and menu items to hotel guests.
Oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies.
Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
Light food preparation and service as needed.
Promote and upsell drinks and special drink promotions.
Maintain cleanliness of glass, china and silver before use.
Comply with liquor laws, health regulations and Colwen standards.
Set up bar prior to opening and keep it clean during shifts.
Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish prep and stocking.
