Job summary

West Bay Club in Estero, FL, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our hospitality-focused finance team. This role collaborates with the Director of Finance to manage accounts payable, month-end close, and member billing while upholding GAAP and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting and at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities within a multi-entity or hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a lead, supervisory, or senior accountant capacity.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing complex reconciliations, financial statements, and close deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Developing ability to present financial information in a clear and professional manner.
• Monthly billing, member statements.
• Assist with monthly close activities, reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
