West Bay Club in Estero, FL is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our hospitality-focused property organization. You will work directly with the Director of Finance, handling accounts payable, member billing, and month-end reporting, while supporting AR functions and member relations.

You will lead accounting processes, review reconciliations and statements, and ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a lead, supervisory, or senior accountant capacity.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing complex reconciliations, financial statements, and close deliverables prepared by others.
• Proven ability to manage workloads, deadlines, and quality across multiple departments with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop the ability to present financial information clearly and professionally.
• Monthly billing, member statements management.
• Accounts payable processing and vendor interactions.
• Assist with monthly close activities, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Quality control to ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls adherence.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues, escalate when needed.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis.
• Analyze performance and provide actionable insights for operations.
