Job summary

Nova Talent Solutions is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee accounting across multiple hospitality properties. You will drive monthly close, GAAP compliance, and internal controls while guiding payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and management reporting.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will mentor finance professionals, collaborate with resort leadership, and identify scalable process improvements.

Qualifications

• A four-year college degree, preferably in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to ten years of progressively responsible finance or accounting experience, including hospitality accounting.
• Experience managing financials for multiple properties.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly and annual financial statements, oversee the general ledger and close processes, reconcile balance-sheet accounts, and provide variance analysis.
• Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, night audit, payroll, and management reporting.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; review journal entries and support internal and external audits.
• Oversee payroll for more than 1,000 associates, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timely payment, and complete records.
• Manage, train, mentor, and develop finance and accounting professionals.
• Partner with department leaders, resort management, the Director of Finance, and corporate leadership.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve recurring accounting procedures, and implement scalable process and system improvements.
• Participate in leadership meetings, resort events, and special projects as assigned.
