Daniel Humm Hospitality, a premier New York restaurant group, seeks a Controller to manage daily and weekly financial reporting, revenue reconciliation, accounts payable, and month-end close for a high-volume operation.

The role oversees reservation deposits, tip and commission reconciliations, and tax filings while supporting leadership with KPI analysis and robust, detail-oriented accounting practices in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Preferred 2-3 years of accounting experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.

Responsabilidades

• Reconcile daily and weekly revenue and prepare flash reports for owners, investors, and managers.
• Record deposits and manage tip and commission reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable: pay vendors weekly via check or ACH and verify invoices.
• Complete month-end close tasks, including bank reconciliations and journals for inventories, pre-payments, and accruals.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and analyses for leadership distribution.
• Prepare and file sales tax and commercial rent tax filings.
• Maintain organized accounting records and KPI analysis to support fast-paced hospitality operations.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2-3 years of accounting experience in restaurant or hospitality

Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
