Job summary

Valley Forge Fabrics, a leading supplier of decorative fabrics for the hospitality industry, seeks an Account Manager in the Chicago area to grow relationships with designers, ownership groups, brands, and procurement firms. You will be the trusted advisor from concept through installation, collaborating with project managers and product specialists.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, opportunity identification, and a proactive approach to design and purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 2–4 years of experience in hospitality sales, design and/or project management, or related interior FF&E experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to entertain and network with clients.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to develop custom designs and solicit orders.
• Present products using samples and presentations, emphasizing design, function, sustainability, and performance while focusing on client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal project management teams to keep account activities and literature current.
• Develop and maintain relationships with design, specification, and purchasing contacts.
• Investigate and resolve challenges with samples, purchase orders and deliveries within the territory.
