Job summary

Christ Church in Oak Brook, IL is seeking an Events and Kitchen Coordinator to support hospitality at church events and external rentals. The role works with the Events & Special Projects Director to coordinate food service, staffing and volunteers for gatherings ranging from small meetings to large conferences.

This part-time position offers flexible hours (about 25 per week), an hourly rate of 19 to 24, and a 401k with 4% employer match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1–3 years in restaurant, catering or service industry with large events experience.
• Strong hospitality and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate F&E service for church events and external rentals; lead volunteer teams.
• Assist with accounting, ordering, inventory and administrative tasks.
• Demonstrate hospitality and support guests and participants.
• Plan and prepare menus and welcoming spaces for gatherings from 15 to 500+.
