Job summary

Holiday Inn Midland is seeking an energetic Event Sales Manager to drive event bookings, negotiate contracts, and expand group business for a busy hotel. You will plan catered functions, prepare bids, and coordinate with culinary and banquet teams to meet client needs. A strong sales mindset and hospitality experience are essential.

This full-time role requires driving to client sites, presenting proposals, and building lasting relationships with clients and partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum formal education of a high school degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of 6 months outside sales experience and 1 year hotel sales experience preferred.
• Clean, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for sales calls.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, negotiate and book new or repeat event business.
• Assist guests with planning catered functions exceeding their needs.
• Develop group business (SMERF) and attend area wedding shows.
• Promote and market the property (rooms and event space).
• Prepare bids, function BEOs and arrange deposits and payments.
• Coordinate with Banquet Manager on staffing and menus.
