Job summary

Holiday Inn Midland is seeking a full-time Event Sales Manager to drive new and repeat business through proactive outreach, bids, and strategic partnerships. You will network, negotiate, and book events, and partner with guests to plan catered functions that exceed expectations.

The role requires strong communication, outside sales experience, and knowledge of industry trends. You will work within Suburban Inns standards, coordinate bids and contracts, and collaborate with the Banquet team to

Qualifications

• Requires ability to interpret/extract information and perform arithmetic functions.
• Good communication skills are essential for guest interactions and sales.
• Experience in outside sales and hotel sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, negotiate and book new/repeat business by networking, prospecting, and outside sales calls.
• Assist guests with planning catered functions and exceed their needs.
• Prepare bids and negotiate terms with prospective clients; follow up on leads.
• Develop group business and promote the property for rooms and event space.
• Coordinate with Banquet Manager and kitchen to finalize menus and pricing.
• Create and manage banquet contracts and function BEOs; arrange prompt payment.
