Job summary

Holiday Inn Midland is seeking an energetic Event Sales Manager to drive new and repeat business through proactive outside sales and networking. You will plan and coordinate catered events, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with the Banquet team to deliver memorable experiences.

The role requires strong communication, sales drive, and knowledge of industry trends, with advancement opportunities within Suburban Inns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months outside sales experience.
• 1 year hotel sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and book new and repeat business through outside calls and networking.
• Assist guests with planning catered functions that exceed their needs.
• Develop group business and attend area wedding shows to build market share.
• Coordinate with Banquet Manager and kitchen teams on pricing, menus, and event details.
• Prepare bids, develop function BEOs, and ensure timely deposits and payments.
