Job summary

Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team, supervise maintenance staff, and ensure high standards of equipment performance and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of HVAC experience and 2–3 years of supervisory work, with strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life-safety systems. Onsite, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• HVAC systems experience 3–5 years.
• 2–3 years of previous management or supervisory experience.
• Familiar with electrical systems, controls, VFDs, motors, pumps and boilers.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with plumbing, pools, water chemistry and life safety systems.
• Experience with elevators and related maintenance.
• Comfort with cross‑department collaboration and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on daily assignments, PMs and work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Learn and use HotSOS to track and assign work orders.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Desk to align on priorities.
• Engage with guests for follow‑ups or requests to ensure service excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.
