Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality seeks an experienced facilities leader to oversee engineering, maintenance, and operations for a Houston-area hotel. You will manage a team, ensure safety, and drive capital improvements while maintaining compliance with codes and environment initiatives.

The role requires strong budgeting, lifecycle management of building systems, and coordination with contractors to optimize performance and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of leadership experience in facilities management of related properties.
• Proven track record in preventative maintenance of public areas, guestrooms and property.
• Experience with preventative maintenance tracking and work order systems; capital improvement project coordination.
• Strong understanding of Federal, State and local codes as applied to facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofs, energy management.
• Strong math skills for reports, financial statements and forecasting.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Manage inventory of parts, supplies, tools and material for the department
• Respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, and other life-safety events
• Maintain knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
• Conduct walk-throughs to assess maintenance and operation of structures and systems
• Verify completion of routine maintenance and repairs in spaces and offices
• Certify employee mechanics and technicians as required
• Negotiate and administer contracts with consultants and contractors
• Produce annual operating budget for payroll, expenses, utilities, and capital improvements
• Direct ADA compliance efforts of the property
