Job summary

Wyndham Gettysburg is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will take orders, deliver meals, manage guest checks, and uphold service standards to ensure a memorable dining experience for guests at our property.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while delivering prompt, accurate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience in a high-volume setting.
• Food safety and/or alcohol service certification preferred.
• Fully property-based role with no travel.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by monitoring needs and responding promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offerings.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Assist with seating guests or supporting other service areas as needed.
• Accurately process guest checks and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Follow all check management and cash handling procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and accountability in all financial transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, service stations, and work areas.
• Ensure flatware, glassware, and plates are clean, polished, and properly stocked.
• Assist with opening and closing side work duties.
• Maintain knowledge of all property amenities and on-site dining options.
• Provide recommendations and answer guest questions about menu offerings.
• Support suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience.
