Job summary

DyeLot is seeking a Job Captain to lead the production of contract documents and ensure design intent is accurately reflected in all drawings. The candidate will coordinate with the Project Manager and senior staff to maintain schedules and deliverables across hospitality-focused projects.

The role requires strong detailing skills, knowledge of architectural codes, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for successful project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture with strong English communication.
• 2+ years of experience as a Job Captain focused on construction documentation.
• Knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards.
• Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and related software used for Contract Documents.
• Strong knowledge of codes and entitlement/permitting processes.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and produce Contract Documents with Project Manager and senior staff.
• Assist Project Manager in workload planning and staff assignments.
• Research and adhere to authorities having jurisdiction requirements at all project phases.
• Maintain continuous flow of critical information among team members.
• Assist in monitoring staff performance and provide feedback to PM.
• Assist in development of industry knowledge and architectural skills; stay current with codes, materials.
• Attend kick-off meetings and verify site-specific requirements and design intent.
• Review contract documents with PM and Project Architect for coordination.
• Coordinate development of detailing to convey design intent.
• Monitor progress and quality of documents; ensure compliance with office standards.
• Prepare and issue bid documents and respond to contractor questions during bids.
