Job summary

High 5 Hospitality Group is seeking Cashiers/Hosts to be the friendly front line of our Newark-area locations. You will handle transactions, greet guests, take orders, and help ensure a smooth dining experience.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, comfortable with POS systems, and able to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant cashier or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with guests and team members.
• Accurate cash handling, quick math, and correct change.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer tasks.
• Customer-focused, friendly, and able to handle complaints gracefully.
• Previous cashier or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat guests, and assist with orders.
• Process payments accurately and manage cash drawer.
• Assist with order placement and ensure order accuracy.
• Maintain clean and organized cashier area and supplies.
• Support kitchen/front-of-house during peak times.
• Manage seating and respond to guest requests and seating preferences.
